App download waiting
Just go through the fixes mentioned below. Reinstall it from the App Store again. This will clear the download and you can re-download the app. The other reason — not proved but suspected — is a lot of apps running in the background. To solve this, go to the multitask switcher by double-pressing the home button and then removing all apps that are running in the background.

Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. You can try resetting all settings. There's another possible issue that was what caused this same problem for me: Your iPhone or iPad is full! If you don't have enough storage space left on your device, apps can sit there in "waiting No amount of clicking, resetting, deleting, etc. Just clear out some music, photos or whatever to open up storage space, and then sync your device, and all should be well.
